TITAN-VNS INAUGURATES NEW FAST TRACK LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAMME

Titan-VNS Auto Logistics Co. Ltd. (“Titan-VNS”) has launched a ground-breaking new Leadership Training Programme that aims to identify a next generation of leading managers from within the Company and place them on a fast track to increased responsibility.

The ambitious new training initiative, dubbed the “Young Blood Leadership Training Programme”, has just kicked off with twenty of our most promising junior managers being selected for “Season 1” after a careful evaluation process. The training programme will comprise of twelve modules that will run through until the end of December.

The logic behind the initiative is very simple. Titan-VNS is a highly ambitious supply chain services provider which has an absolute focus to be the number one choice in the highly competitive logistics sector in Thailand, to offer the best and most efficient service to our customers with the best value and to implement and deliver new solutions to the absolute benefit of our customers as the sector rapidly evolves into a new future.

Furthermore, we believe that providing the best service is all about having staff that are highly motivated and ambitious to drive the Titan-VNS story. To achieve that we place an unrelenting focus on having the best staff in the sector and to implement the leading standards of training.

We believe that we are achieving those goals and so, logically, we have the senior managers that will shape the future of the supply chain in Thailand in the midst of our workforce – with the added benefit that they are already steeped in our best working practices, culture of achieving success and premier methodologies.

As Titan-VNS goes through rapid expansion we require an ever-increasing management team that must be put into place without any compromise to our premier service capability.

Our human resources operation is optimised to ensure that individual talents and capabilities are clearly identified and offer a platform for staff to develop their skills – so the “Young Blood Leadership Training Programme” fits into that concept.

For the first edition of this new programme we have chosen twenty junior managers drawn from across our key operational footprint in Bangkok, Laem Chabang and the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate which comprise of Section Managers, Senior Supervisors, Supervisors, Logistics Analysts and Engineers.

The target of this new training initiative is to nurture and create a new generation of leaders and leadership teams. The course will be delivered across twelve modules that comprise of the development of management skills, negotiation, creativity, analytical thinking, problem solving, planning & organising, reporting.

Key modules will include the Japanese business mantra of HO REN SO, an abbreviation of “Hokoku”, “Renraku”, “Sodan” – “Report”, “Communicate”, “Consultation”), finding root cause by 3 G 5 Why technique (“Genba”, “Genbutsu”, “Genjitsu” – “Real Place”, “Actual Condition”, “Actual Situation”), Profit & Loss, Budget Management, New Project implementation, MS Excel (Introduction, Level 1, Level 2), Transportation Management, Warehouse Management & Sequencing Process, Improving Fleet Utilisation, Effective Inventory Management, Genba Kanri for Shop floor and Efficient Packing process.

The first module of the new “Young Blood Leadership Training Programme 2019” has just taken place in the new Training Center located at Titan-VNS Head Office in Sri Racha. Module 1 (of the 12) “Authentic Leader” was conducted by Mr. Kampanart Tungkateja, a Senior Consultant at external company NAQS.

The “Young Blood Leadership Training Programme 2019” was officially inaugurated by Mr. Peera Thaweechart (Managing Director), Mr. Chaitwat Sukmaitree (Operations Director), Mr. Premchai Boontam (Senior Manager) and Mr. Boonthavee Piampinsate (HR and GA Director).

Programme manager is Ms Anong Nacom, Quality Management Representative, Titan-VNS and HR & Training department for support activity.

The “Young Blood Leadership Training Programme 2019” is being realised in conjunction with Albatross Logistics Co. Ltd., our partner in the newly formed Logistics Alliance.

Mr. Bordin Tanthaphaiboon (President, Titan-VNS): “I’m very pleased that the Company is initiating this new fast track leadership programme and I think it shows the strength in depth we have that we can reach internally and pick out such a robust pool of talent that can be considered as a prospective next generation of senior managers. That shows the senior management and human resource teams led by Managing Director Mr. Peera Thaweechart are doing a sector leading job in providing a firm grounding by creating a culture of excellence that also allows for the identifying of skilled staff and giving them the room to develop. Placing our absolute focus on our staff to be a ‘people company’ is really proving to be the bedrock of our growth and success of service. We expect continuous and significant growth in the next few years so it’s vital that we have a rock-solid foundation to support that.”

Mr. Peera Thaweechart (Managing Director, Titan-VNS): “This new training initiative slots into the structure of the other programmes we currently have running, including the high profile ‘QCP Activity Competition’ we rolled out last year that has already exceeded our expectations in terms of how far and fast we can train our future leadership teams. The Young Blood Leadership Programme will really challenge the participants, both as individuals and teams, with a comprehensive programme for the first year that includes a mix of external trainers and our own senior managers, it will widen their scope to embrace and understand all the diverse activities of the company so they really develop the big picture. As I always say, if we can develop from within we are building up people who are already steeped in our best practices and have the ambition and drive for success, so it’s really a ‘win-win’ situation for us. I would like to thank our senior management team and our human resources department for really getting right behind this new programme with so much enthusiasm and lending their time to ensure we develop the best programme possible.”
